DANVILLE, Ill. (WCIA) — A man is facing multiple counts of possessing child pornography in Vermilion County.

Court records show Michael Starkey has been charged with 10 counts of the crime, all Class X felonies. The crimes are listed as taking place in July and the Illinois State Police was listed as the investigating agency.

The Vermilion County State’s Attorney’s Office filed the charges against Starkey on Sept. 5, and he appeared in court the same day for arraignment. The issue of pretrial detention was decided on Monday.

Starkey was allowed to leave custody with conditions, which included no access to the Internet.

WCIA reached out to the Illinois State Police to learn more about the investigation into Starkey. We have not heard back yet.
