Ariana Grande is going on tour, and fans are feeling both proud and frustrated. Grande opted out of dynamic pricing for her shows, meaning that the price of tickets is set in advance, not based on demand. While fans are happy about this decision, they believe artists still need to do more to keep prices from getting prohibitively high.

A year after the release of her album Eternal Sunshine, Grande announced a tour. Fans previously weren’t hopeful about a tour happening, as she specifically said she didn’t have plans to embark on one.
“I feel so grateful to the acting, and I think my fans know that music and being on stage will always be a part of my life, but I don’t see it coming anytime soon,” she told Variety. “I think the next few years, hopefully we’ll be exploring different forms of art, and I think acting is feeling like home right now.”
She thanked her fans for their understanding as she focused on her acting career.
“I am appreciative for [my fans’] understanding,” she said. “I’m so grateful for the ways in which we’ve grown together over this whole journey with Wicked. But music will always be a part of my life.”
Now, though, she has plans for a small tour in the summer of 2026.

Before tickets went on sale for her tour, Grande confirmed that she would not use dynamic pricing. With dynamic pricing, the cost of tickets is based on demand, sometimes leading to staggering costs. Fans thanked Grande for her decision not to use it.
“Appreciate her for this,” wrote one Reddit user.
“Another Ariana Grande W,” added another person.
Other people didn’t realize artists could opt out of dynamic pricing. This has frustrated many concertgoers.
“Ummm I wasn’t aware they could opt for this. Am I missing something?” one person asked. “I’ve had Ari, Harry [Styles], and TSwift fans yelling at me that they’re all subject to the whims of Ticketmaster, etc and that’s why their tickets are so expensive typically.”
Still, many fans noted that high costs will still likely be a problem if resellers get a hold of tickets.
“Cool, but it means nothing to me if I can’t even get a ticket,” wrote one person. “Secondary markets are 10x worse than dynamic pricing.”
Fans still say artists need to do more
While fans are grateful to Grande, they are frustrated with the ticketing industry as a whole.
“And then tix are immediately available via resellers for twice the price,” wrote one person. “The ticketing industry is broken and ripping us off.”
People called on artists to do more to keep costs lower, but few people were optimistic. Ticketmaster fell under scrutiny after Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, but things didn’t change.
“If The Era’s Tour didn’t fix this, nothing will,” added someone else. “Ticketmaster and the artist have a vested interest in not fixing this. So long as the fans play along, and they will, it will continue.”
