Haunting Trump costume worn by Charlie Kirk 'assassin'

The suspected murderer of conservative activist Charlie Kirk was seen dressed as President Donald Trump for Halloween, according to uncovered social media photos.

Tyler Robinson, 22, was seen dressed up in the outfit in a 2017 post shared by his mother Amber, when he would have been around 14.

The image shows him beaming at the camera while stood next to his younger brother.

Robinson was apprehended on Thursday night in southern Utah after allegedly admitting to the murder of Kirk, who was fatally shot in the neck while addressing an audience at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

According to sources who spoke to the Daily Mail, Robinson was a scholarship student at Utah State University. He was recognized as the primary suspect in the shooting and evaded capture for approximately a day and a half.

Utah Governor Spencer Cox announced his capture at a press conference Friday by stating: ‘Good morning, ladies and gentlemen – we got him.’

Robinson’s family members told police that he had become ‘more political in recent years’, Cox said.

They described incidents where Robinson had come to dinner and ‘mentioned Charlie Kirk was coming to UVU and mentioned why he didn’t like him’.

Cox said that casings from the weapon used to kill Kirk were found to have several anti-fascist messages engraved on them, including one referencing the Italian anti-fascist song Bella Ciao.

One engraving read ‘Hey Fascists, Catch!’ – next to an up arrow symbol, right arrow symbol and three down arrow symbols – and another read ‘If You Read This You Are Gay LMAO’, Cox said.

Robinson arrived on the UVU campus driving a gray Dodge Challenger, before opening fire on the 31-year-old conservative influencer, police said.

He was dressed in a plain maroon T-shirt, light-colored shorts, a black hat with a white logo and light-colored shoes.

Cox said Robinson was wearing clothing ‘consistent’ with this outfit when he was detained around 10pm local time Thursday.

FBI Director Kash Patel claimed the capture of the suspect was ‘historic’ – patting the bureau on the back for bringing the manhunt to an end within 33 hours.

The family’s social media show Robinson, with his brothers, enjoying vacations and sharing selfies, including some celebrating the alleged killer getting into college.

He lives in a $600,000 six-bedroom home in Washington, Utah – about 260 miles south of Kirk’s assassination in Orem.

Officials have yet to confirm a motive to the assassination. Authorities said at a press conference on Thursday night that Robinson will face the death penalty if convicted.

Robinson’s arrest comes after a manhunt for the suspect stretched to over a day and a half, with officials previously offering a reward of $100,000 for information leading to his capture.

President Trump revealed how the manhunt finally came to an end when ‘somebody who was very close’ to the suspect turned him in to police – referring to the tipster as the assassin’s ‘minister’ and ‘father’.

‘It was a minister who was involved with law enforcement… his good friend is a top U.S. Marshal – and they took it from there,’ Trump said.

Trump said he now wants to see the killer get the death penalty for the assassination of Kirk, who he described as the ‘finest person’.

‘Well, I hope he’s going to be found guilty, I would imagine and I hope he gets the death penalty,’ Trump said.

‘What he did, Charlie Kirk, he was the finest person that, he didn’t deserve this. He worked so hard and so well, everybody liked him.’

The conservative commentator was hit by a single bullet while speaking to a crowd at the public university in Orem on Wednesday afternoon.

The father-of-two, known for his fierce MAGA views and thrilling debates with college kids across the country, collapsed immediately after being hit by the gunfire.
