Storm Team 3: Increasing temperatures and humidity this week

SAVANNAH, Ga. () – High pressure remains in control today, bringing plenty of sunshine and comfortable humidity levels, thanks to a steady northeast breeze. Temperatures will stay slightly below average, with highs in the mid-80s.

By tomorrow, winds shift to the southwest, drawing in warmer and more humid air from the Gulf. This is the beginning of a noticeable warm-up for the middle and end of the week, with highs climbing into the upper 80s. Expect a gradual increase in cloud cover as well.

Looking ahead to the weekend, there’s a chance for a few passing showers as moisture continues to build.

We’re also keeping an eye on the tropics for mid to late week. It is possible that a wave off of Africa becomes a tropical depression. Although there is dry air still in place in the Atlantic helping to limit development, gradual development is possible after it interacts with this dry air. It is moving west/northwest at this time with a high 80% chance of development. We’ll continue to monitor any updates.
