() After a day of pageantry, President Donald Trump and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer are talking business.

The two began bilateral talks at Chequers, Starmer’s country residence, on Thursday, marking the second day of Trump’s historic second state visit a first for a U.S. president. He spent Wednesday at Windsor Castle with the reigning monarch, King Charles III, and his wife, Queen Camilla.

An announcement of major U.S. investments and a new tech partnership with Britain is expected Thursday.

The two leaders will sign a “tech prosperity deal” that U.K. officials have said will bring thousands of jobs and billions in investment in artificial intelligence, quantum computing and nuclear energy. The $200 billion deal would establish a U.K. arm of Stargate and cement U.S. investment in Britain’s AI sector.

British officials said they have not agreed to scrap a digital services tax or water down internet regulation to get the deal, some details of which have yet to be announced.

CEOs from Apple, Nvidia, Blackstone and OpenAI are scheduled to attend a business leaders’ reception with Starmer on Thursday.

Many of those CEOs also attended a banquet Wednesday hosted by Charles and Camilla, where Trump and the monarch exchanged praises.

“This is truly one of the highest honors of my life,” Trump said. “Such respect for you, and such respect for your country. For many decades, his majesty the King has epitomized the fortitude, nobility and the spirit of the British monarchy and the British people.”

Ahead of Trump and Starmer’s Thursday talks, Charles urged the U.S. and the U.K. to stand together against Russian hostility.

“In two world wars, we’ve fought together to defeat the forces of tyranny,” he said. “Today, as tyranny once again threatens Europe, we and our allies stand together in support of Ukraine and to deter aggression and secure peace.”

Trump and Starmer are likely to discuss the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, though their views differ on Israel’s incursion into the Gaza Strip and the severity of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent moves targeting Ukraine.
