Taylor Swift stalker on the loose: Private investigator can't find him

After Charlie Kirk’s assassination, concerns have been raised that led to a secret security operation designed to keep Taylor Swift unnoticed during a recent NFL game.

Now, it has come to light that Swift is dealing with increasing issues related to an alleged stalker who remains elusive despite extensive efforts by a private investigator.

Swift, who is 35, holds a temporary restraining order against Brian Jason Wagner, who has seemingly vanished as reported by Brooke Berg, a licensed private investigator recruited to aid the singer in locating him.

In a new court document obtained by the Daily Mail, Berg stated that she called the 45-year-old Colorado-nativeĀ on September 15 on a number she had ‘previously spoken with him’. She also messaged him three times to inform him of the upcoming hearing on September 22 – but he has failed to respond.

‘As of the date of this declaration, Respondent has not responded to the September 15, 2025 phone call or text messages,’ Berg’s filing reads.

Following a hearing on September 12, in which Swift’s attorney was present, a new hearing date was made for September 22 to give her team more time to make contact with Wagner.

The TRO was first granted on June 9 ‘based on unlawful violence, a credible threat of violence, or stalking’. It has since been extended until September 22.

According to an insider who spoke to the Daily Mail, Swift is ‘concerned’ about her stalker case, especially because of the ‘depraved lengths he has gone to to invade her privacy.’

‘Her team has to be hyper vigilant because she has been stalked so many times and recently discovered she has been targeted by GroyperĀ [alt-right] groups on social media,’ the source added.

‘She will change promotional plans or scale back if any threats she has received online are deemed to be serious by her security team. It’s horrible.’

Meanwhile, another source shared: ‘As this saga continues with her stalker, it will take precedent over everything she does in her life and career until it is completely taken care of in the courts and through any authoritative measures.’

Extensive and unsuccessful attempts to get in touch with Wagner have been made over the course of the past few months.

On September 11, Swift’s private investigatorĀ Berg filed a declaration informing the court that Wagner had ‘not responded’ to text messages she sent on September 8.

There were also ‘personal service and stake out attempts at multiple last known residential addresses’ in Colorado, in June and July.

According to court filings, Berg declared she ‘reviewed affidavits and statements from neighbors, owners of locations and other individuals associated with those addresses to confirm whether Respondent resides or has recently resided at those locations. No positive sightings were reported.’

In addition, she ‘searched public databases, social media platforms, proprietary investigator databases, and DMV records to uncover any new contact or address information.’

The investigator’s efforts were ‘inconclusive,’ and she concluded that Wagner was ‘either transient or actively concealing his whereabouts.’

Several months ago, a person – anonymously named as Jane Doe in court filings – had informed Berg that she received a phone call from Wagner at a new phone number and claimed he ‘changes his number frequently and uses TextNow [a freephone service].’

Back in August, Berg called the number and Wagner finally answered.

However, he ‘argued that he was not involved in a legal matter.’Ā

When Berg attempted to obtain an address to be able to deliver legal documents to him, Wagner stated that ‘he did not have a place to live.’

‘[Wagner] initially claimed he was in Beverly Hills, California, but then stated that he recently encountered trouble in Beverly Hills and was no longer there,’ the filing said.

‘Respondent said that he would know by Monday, August 4, 2025, where he would be living, and said that he would call me with an address or a place to meet.Ā

‘He indicated we could call again on August 4, 2025, if we did not hear from him and said that phone number was the best number at which to reach him.’

Wagner stated during the conversation that he was ‘going to have to do something about her,’ in reference to Swift.Ā

The filing continued: ‘He also stated that he was supposed to live at [Swift’s] house and work for [Swift], but that [Swift] had gotten angry with him and now his life is ruined.

‘Respondent stated that he could not believe [Swift] was now giving him a restraining order.’

It marked Berg’s last contact with Wagner, who failed to give her a location where they could meet to serve theĀ legal documents.

The Daily Mail previously reported that, onĀ June 27, a massive supplemental document was filed, which was the declaration of Alex Welch, a staff member on Swift’s security team.

In the document, there were hundreds of pages of emails, scenic photos and screenshots of text messagesĀ from Wagner to ‘Taylor Swift Fan Club’ from 2023 to present that were compiled by the star’s staff and personnel.

The singer initially alleged that the ex-convict keeps showing up to her house uninvited and claiming that she is the mother to his child.Ā

Swift also said, per past court docs, that he changed his address on his driver’s license to her residence in Los Angeles and alleged that Wagner had used concerning and threatening language in the communications.

She further claimed he attempted to divert mail away from her LA residence and that he ‘even lied to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to somehow change the address on his driver’s license to my Los Angeles home.’

In addition, Swift claimed that Wagner had previously gone to her home at least three times in July 2024, including one supposed visit where he allegedly carried a glass bottle ‘that could have been used as a weapon.’

Wagner addressed Swift as his 'Wifey' in multiple emails as seen in a previous article published by the Daily Mail. He also told her how much he loves her

She said that she had never met or communicated with Wagner and asked via the court order for Wagner to stay at least 100 yards away from her, her home, her workplace, and car. The TRO was granted immediately following this.

Swift has found herself the target of multiple stalkers over the years, many of whom have sickeningly threatened her with rape and murder, with some even trying to break into her New York residence.

The incidents have understandably left her on high alert, with the singer previously revealing that she always carries QuikClot – army grade bandage dressing – ‘for gunshot or stab wounds.’

Last Sunday, she arrived unseen behind what was believed to be a bullet-resistant screen as she entered the Arrowhead Stadium to watch fiancé Travis Kelce and his team take on the Philadelphia Eagles.

An insider told the Daily Mail:Ā ‘They used the screen to keep her safe. They have used that screen before, but usually it is for the President or someone like that, not a celebrity. But this was a weird week.’

She and her team are said to have concerns following the death of conservative activist Kirk, 31, who was assassinated by a gunman while speaking at Utah Valley University on September 10.

Swift is a known liberal who has backed the last two Democratic Party candidates in the 2020 and 2024 presidential elections.

‘Taylor had concerns because she has received hate mail from the same kinds of extreme groups,’ said another insider.Ā

‘Charlie’s murder, and the weirdness with her stalkers, is why she will take serious measures to increase her security.’

The Daily Mail has reached out to Taylor Swift’s rep for comment.Ā
