A grieving family is demanding answers after their son’s body was returned from Bali after his mysterious death with a vital organ missing.

The FIFO worker was hoping to relax on a fun getaway, but his body was found in the plunge pool of his villa in May.

His death was only the beginning of a long and traumatic quest for answers from his devastated family.

Bryon’s family pushed for an investigation resulted in a major delay in repatriating his remains back to Noosa.

His mum Chantal told 9News she suspects something sinister happened.

“I feel like there was foul play,” she said.

When his body finally was brought home, a horrifying discovery made in a second autopsy by the Queensland coroner.

“They just rung us to ask if we were aware that his heart was retained over in Bali,” Chantal said.

“It was another kick in the guts.”

It remains unclear why Byron’s organ was removed.

It was only sent back to Australia months after his funeral and burial.
