On Sunday, there will be a memorial for Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk in Glendale, Arizona, at the State Farm Stadium. Kirk was assassinated on Sept. 10, and more than 100,000 are expected to be in attendance at the memorial, according to reports, including President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Erika Kirk.

Turning Point USA spokesperson Andrew Kolvet apologized for having to address something graphic on X. He revealed something about the shooting that he said Kirk’s surgeon called an “absolute miracle.” He said he was responding to an online discussion.

I just spoke with the surgeon who worked on Charlie in the hospital…He said the bullet “absolutely should have gone through, which is very very normal for a high powered, high velocity round. I’ve seen wounds from this caliber many times and they always just go through everything. This would have taken a moose or two down, an elk, etc.

”But it didn’t go through. Charlie’s body stopped it.

Kolvet explained that there were many “staff, students, and special guests” behind Kirk who could have been hit. Kolvet said the bullet was found just beneath the skin.

“It was an absolute miracle that someone else didn’t get killed,” the doctor said. “It should have just gone through and through. It likely would have killed those standing behind him too.”

“Even in death, Charlie managed to save the lives of those around him,” Kolvet added. “Remarkable. Miraculous.”

He said he had permission to discuss this information.

Hundreds of people had been present at Kirk’s Utah Valley University event when he was shot.

Tyler Robinson, 22, has been charged with seven counts in the killing of Kirk, including aggravated murder. The state is alleging the aggravating factor that Kirk was killed for his political expression and that Robinson did so knowing that children were present and would witness the homicide.

In the wake of the killing, President Donald Trump praised the way that Kirk reached young people, ‘I’ve never seen young people, or any group, go to one person like they did to Charlie.”

“No, he was an unbelievable talent, but it wasn’t really so much a talent. He just really believed it. He just believed it. He loved young people. He wanted to help young people, and he didn’t deserve this.”

As we reported, there is massive security at the memorial in Arizona, and it has been designated by the Department of Homeland Security with its highest security ratingThere are already thousands of people in line for the memorial.
