() Authorities are looking for a 38-year-old woman who went missing while on a cross-country road trip that started in Florida.
Ganna Kovrizhynkh, also known as Angel Volnaya, was reported missing by a friend on July 12, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office. Relatives said they last heard from Kovrizhynkh on July 5 while she drove through San Diego County.
Officials later found Kovrizhynkh’s vehicle and trailer unattended in Potrero, California.
“Kovrizhynkh’s current whereabouts and status are unknown,” the sheriff’s office said. “It is possible she may have crossed the U.S./Mexico border into the Tecate area of Baja California, Mexico.”

The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System said Kovrizhynkh’s mother received “a photograph of a letter along with GPS coordinates” from Potrero on July 5.
“The letter essentially provided instruction to give her personal assets to her mother,” the NamUS file states. “On 07/12/2025, Kovrizhnykh’s Jeep Grand Cherokee and camper trailer were found apparently abandoned near the 25000 block of Potrero Park Drive.”
Kovrizhynkh is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes, the sheriff’s office said. She has several tattoos on her arms and may be wearing a wig.
Anyone who has seen Kovrizhynkh or has any information about where she may be should call the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office at (858) 868-3200 or the San Diego County Crime Stoppers at (888) 580-8477.
