Christina Aguilera gets ‘Dirrty’ again, reviving her iconic chaps two decades on

Ring the alarm.

Christina Aguilera brought back her iconic look from her chart-topping 2002 “Dirrty” music video.

The singer, 44, recreated the sultry Y2K outfit when she took the stage on Saturday at San Francisco’s Portola Festival and performed the fan favorite hit over two decades after its release.

She paid homage to the song from her hit album “Stripped” by sporting a bedazzled black bodysuit paired with silver chaps and fishnet tights.

Aguilera accessorized with silver jewelry and a pair of sunglasses and wore her blond hair long and straight as she did back in the day.

The ensemble was seemingly an elevated version of what she wore in the music video and her signature style during that era of her career which included chaps, low-waisted pants and body chains.

Aguilera worked with costume designer Trish Summerville during her “Dirrty” era, who is responsible for the leather chaps along many of the singer’s other early aughts red carpet looks. It is unclear if she worked with Summerville for this revival look.

In 2022, the five-time Grammy winner reflected on some of her most iconic outfits over her decades-long career and named her fashion era with Summerville as one of her favorites.

“I was starting to be out of my shell a little bit… That was me coming into expressing who I was,” Aguilera told Vogue at the time.

Her “Dirrty” era was so iconic that other trend-setting celebs have channeled the style in recent years.

Kylie Jenner dressed up as the pop star in the “Dirrty” music video for Halloween in 2016 and also recreated her barely-there scarf top look from the 2002 MTV Video Music Awards.

The former “Voice” coach made jaws drop around the country when she presented the “Best Male Video” to Eminem in the skimpy outfit, and Jenner, 28, made the same waves in 2021.

Her homage to Aguilera came courtesy of Jean Paul Gaultier and the tiny top was part of a vintage gown covered in colorful portraits. Despite its lack of fabric, the top retailed for a whopping, $1,995.

This isn’t the only revival look the “Candy Man” songstress has recently done. In July, she resurrected the iconic green lace-up corset dress she modeled in an ad campaign for Versace 22 years ago.

She wore the vintage number, which features a handkerchief hem, to attend “Burlesque: The Musical,” a stage adaptation of the 2010 film “Burlesque.”

Aguilera was the muse for the Italian fashion house in 2003, and still does the brand justice to this day.
