A former SA Police contractor has been arrested after he allegedly livestreamed sexually explicit material of children in the Philippines.

Police searched the home of Jonathan Poole in Adelaide yesterday, where they allegedly found hundreds of photos and videos of young victims on multiple devices.

The 68-year-old was arrested and faced court today charged with one count of possessing child abuse material.

On his LinkedIn profile, Poole lists SA Health and SA Police among his most recent employers.

In a statement police said he was a “short-term external contractor with South Australia Police and has since had his employment terminated after notification from the AFP.

Detectives have seized a phone, two laptops and two hard-drives which are undergoing further analysis.

He will remain in custody at this stage until at least December.
