WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – At Legoland Florida Resort, guests have the chance to create minifigure masterpieces and LEGO mosaics, sparking inspiration for their next build.
On Friday, the resort unveiled a major expansion of its LEGO shop.
The store has grown by 2,000 square feet and now features more than 700 different LEGO sets and over 1,200 unique products for fans of all ages.

One of the standout attractions inside the shop is the LEGO Tree of Discovery. Standing 11-feet-tall, the intricate model was crafted by 22 Master Model Builders over 1,600 hours using more than 600,000 LEGO bricks.
The tree showcases the evolution of LEGO play systems, starting with Duplo bricks at the base for younger children and progressing to Technic bricks at the top.
“This one is very Florida-minded. It has little kaleidoscopes inside, it has a little peekaboo slot, so you can see dioramas throughout,” said Julie Estrada, Legoland Florida spokesperson. “It has oranges, it has some of the chameleons and lizards and things that just make Florida.”
The store also introduces two interactive shopping experiences designed to engage visitors beyond browsing shelves. The LEGO Minifigure Factory lets guests create their own custom LEGO minifigure.
Using a touchscreen station, shoppers can type their name, select from a variety of torso designs—including Halloween-themed options—add decorations or stickers, and even write custom text.
After designing the torso, visitors choose accessories like hairpieces, helmets, faces, legs, and props such as swords or surfboards. The minifigure is then printed and assembled on-site, packaged in a special box with the guest’s name and the Legoland Florida logo.
The unique keepsake is available for $11.95.
Another highlight is the LEGO Mosaic Maker, a creative activity where guests can transform their own photo into a LEGO mosaic.
After purchasing the $99.99 mosaic kit, visitors scan a headshot photo at the station. The machine then generates a pixelated LEGO brick pattern of the image, similar to a paint-by-numbers guide. Guests take the kit home to build their personalized mosaic, making for a memorable and hands-on souvenir.
