Cardi B is making waves in her personal and professional life in 2025. She’s currently expecting her fourth child and her first with NFL player Stefon Diggs. The 32-year-old rapper confirmed the pregnancy in a Sept. 17, 2025, interview on CBS Mornings, expressing excitement and gratitude as she balances her career and growing family. Despite facing public scrutiny and rumors, including speculation about her relationship with Diggs, Cardi has addressed these issues head-on, emphasizing her strength and independence. More recently, she took a dig at any comparison to Nick Cannon, who has 12 children with six different women. Here’s what she said.

Cardi B made it clear that her current pregnancy isn’t similar to Nick Cannon’s family

Nick Cannon is the father of a sprawling, high-profile family that now includes 12 children with six different women. Among his kids are twins Moroccan and Monroe, whom he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey, born in 2011. With model Brittany Bell, he has three children: Golden Sagon, Powerful Queen, and Rise Messiah. With Abby De La Rosa, he fathered twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, along with a daughter named Beautiful Zeppelin. He also has a son, Legendary Love, with Bre Tiesi; a daughter, Onyx Ice Cole, with LaNisha Cole; and with Alyssa Scott, he had a son, Zen, (who tragically passed away in infancy) and a daughter, Halo Marie.

Cannon candidly discussed the challenges of fatherhood in the past.

“Being a father of multiple kids, it’s always the biggest guilt on me is that I don’t get to spend enough time with all my children,” he said in an episode of The Checkup with Dr. Agus in December 2022, according to People. “One, ’cause I’m constantly working, and two, because I’m just spread thin.”

In September 2025, Cardi B took to X Spaces to deny that her family situation is anything like Cannon’s.

“I don’t get in Nick Cannon’s business, but let me tell you something, all my kids live in the same house, and they are raised by a person, and that’s me,” she said, according to Complex. “You can’t compare me to Nick Cannon. I don’t got 12 different baby daddies. I got three kids with one baby dad. And I’m gonna have a new baby with another man.”

Cardi B responded to Stefon Diggs’ paternity drama on Instagram Live

Stefon Diggs now finds himself embroiled in a high-profile paternity dispute just as he and Cardi B prepare to welcome their first child together. A model, Aileen Lopera (also known as Lord Gisselle), has filed a lawsuit claiming Diggs is the father of her 5-month-old daughter, born in April 2025. Diggs has formally denied paternity and requested a DNA test. And he seeks joint custody and shared responsibility for the child’s related expenses should the test confirm his biological connection.

In the midst of this legal battle, Cardi B responded on Instagram Live with a pointed, cryptic reference to the situation, quoting Shirley Brown’s “Woman to Woman.”

“That’s your baby daddy, b****?” Cardi said, according to Page Six. “That’s my baby daddy, too. What now? I don’t f***ing know. We’ll figure it out, b****.”

The ‘Bodak Yellow’ rapper tunes out the noise online

Cardi B is excited to share the news of her pregnancy and her upcoming tour with the world. However, she knows haters are around every corner. While speaking on the Angie Martinez IRL Podcast, Cardi explained how she has to tune out the noise online, or else it consumes her.

“I have new people in my life; I have a new person in my life; I have kids; I’m having more kids,” Cardi said. “I can’t let what they say, and certain moments, what people say, ruin what I feel.”

“Me and my man are very happy that we’re having a baby,” she continued. “… I’m not gonna let people take that away from me because of whatever they feel. It’s my life. I’m grown.”
