Jon Gosselin has seemingly accused his ex-wife Kate Gosselin’s former bodyguard of contributing to the end of their marriage.
“Guess who really ruined the marriage,” Jon, 48, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, September 24, alongside a photo of Kate, 50, and her former bodyguard, Steve Neild. “Read for yourself.”
Jon also added a screenshot from a Wednesday Page Six article, reporting that Kate and Neild are now dating.
“Maybe when I speak people will listen now!!!” Jon captioned the post.
Us Weekly has reached out to Kate for comment.
Jon and Kate have had their fair share of ups and downs over the years. The exes tied the knot in 1999, going on to welcome twins Madelyn and Cara the following year. In 2004, they expanded their family with sextuplets Aaden, Hannah, Leah, Alexis, Collin and Joel, who were born via in vitro fertilization (IVF) in 2004.
In 2007, the family became the center of the reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8, which ran for five seasons. It was around that time that Kate had a bodyguard, due to the show’s popularity..
After being on the show for two years, Jon and Kate split. Us previously reported that Jon had allegedly been unfaithful during the marriage, and that Kate subsequently filed for divorce in response to his alleged infidelity. (Jon has denied the allegations.)
Following their divorce, the show was rebranded as Kate Plus 8. The series continued for an additional six seasons before coming to an end in 2017.
Despite sharing eight children, Jon revealed earlier this year that he has not communicated with his ex in seven years.
“We don’t communicate,” he said in an interview with E! News. “I think the last time I heard her voice in person was, like, 2018.”
Last month, Kate opened up about how her and Jon’s divorce impacted their kids.
“I don’t know if you have kids or don’t have kids, but I just, I made decisions based on how I would want to be treated, honestly,” Kate reflected during an August TikTok livestream. “And I didn’t buy into all the drama and the hate, and the ugly. And I had kids involved, so I wanted it to be as peaceful for them as I possibly could.”
Kate added that her goal was to get through the legal battle without causing any tension within the family.
“I did not hire an attorney that wanted to stir up trouble; I just wanted it to be peaceful, and I wanted the best for my kids,” she continued. “A lot of things happened that I could not control that did not turn out well for my kids, but I did my best. We just got through it to the best of our ability.”
