Here’s how Eagles receiver DeVonta Smith reacted after another man was caught checking out his soon-to-wife.
DaVonta Smith’s fiancée knows how to make an entrance. But after another man was caught checking her out, the Philadelphia Eagles star receiver had something to say about it, and he’s not the only one.
Mya Danielle, who is engaged to the wideout, posted a video to Instagram as she arrived on the field prior to the start of the Eagles game on Sept. 22. The clip shows her walking by a security guard who, the moment he passes her, turns and checks her out from behind.
Smith saw the video and later responded to what the guard did, writing, “Aye security better watch out.” He added two rolling-on-the-floor laughing emojis.
The post has garnered more than 37,000 likes so far and hundreds of comments.
“The security guard said DAYYUUUMMM,” one fan posted. While others added, “Security looked back not once but twice” and “Security was willing to risk it all” with laughing emojis.
Outspoken ex-NFL player Antonio Brown chimed in resharing a post of the clip from Crossing Broad that read “Security almost broke his neck checking out DeVonta Smith’s fiancée.” Brown then captioned it, “Cracker of the day,” which was totally ignored by Smith and his soon-to-be wife. Several people who did reply to AB’s post said they didn’t blame the security guard for looking.
Many fans also complimented Danielle’s game-day look, writing, “She’s allowing confidence to speak for her” and “You are Philadelphia royalty!!! The ladies of our Eagles Wives club are always impeccable! Hail to the queens” with a heart emoji.
This isn’t the first time Smith’s bride-to-be has made headlines.
Earlier this month, a video went viral on TikTok from a woman named Theresa Schmus. She shared that her mother, who is battling stage 4 ovarian cancer, is a huge Philly sports fan and her favorite player is DeVonta Smith.
“She’s been battling recurrence after recurrence and one thing that keeps her going is her love of Philly sports. Whether it’s a Phillies, Flyers, Eagles, or Sixers … she never misses a game,” Schmus explained. “She hasn’t been able to stop talking about Devonta Smith and how he’s her favorite player. Today was a rough morning for her, so I took a risk and DM’d his fiancée asking if I could get a jersey signed by him. Instead, [Danielle] drove all the way to the hospital and hand delivered a signed jersey and a thoughtful card …
“She’s never had a jersey and never been to a game and she can’t believe that someone would do this for her. I hope this shows everyone just how amazing the Philly community really is and to Devonta and Mya, we cannot put into words what this means to my mom. We are internally grateful and cannot thank you enough.”
Smith and Danielle went public with their relationship in 2023 and welcomed their daughter, Kyse, in October of that same year. They got engaged before the clock struck midnight on Dec. 31, 2024.
