Once upon a time, Meghan Markle and Jessica Mulroney were very close. Even when the duchess’s other pals accused Meghan of ghosting them after she got engaged to Prince Harry, she and Mulroney remained tight.

Her three children were even in the Sussexes’ royal wedding. But in 2020, Harry’s bride cut the Canadian stylist out of her life after Mulroney made some inappropriate comments amid the Black Lives Matter movement.

Mulroney has never spoken about her past friendship with the former Suits star in the years since their fallout, but there have been reports that the style expert was offered a lucrative deal to pen a tell-all book and divulge some of Meghan’s biggest secrets. However, it’s now being reported that Mulroney has reason not to do that.

Mulroney was offered $1 million for her tell-all book

Multiple reports claim that Mulroney was offered a huge deal worth a cool $1 million to write a book about her former bestie. That possibility is something that has allegedly kept the duchess up at night because even though she and Harry have dished out dirt on the royal family, they haven’t had anyone air out their dirty laundry.

As one source previously told The Mirror, “The feeling is that [Meghan] and Harry have both been very fortunate until now. They haven’t had a tell-all to contend with — at least not from within their close circle of friends and former friends. But there’s a real prospect of other people with an axe to grind from her and Harry’s past coming forward to get revenge and humiliate them. This is the kind of thing that gives Meghan sleepless nights.”

And one look at Mulroney’s social media shows plenty of comments from fans urging her to write the book and reveal what she knows.

“Tell your story. The truth is healing,” one follower posted, while another added, “I’ll be buying your book!!”

Mulroney is said to be backing down now and doesn’t want to rock the boat

However, it looks like Meghan has nothing to worry about as it’s been claimed that Mulroney is not going to take up the offer of a tell-all because she’s fearful of speaking out against her former friend.

An insider shared that Meghan “still has a lot of influence” within the social circle they once shared back in Canada.

“Meghan still has a lot of eyes and ears in Canada,” the person who knows Jessica explained. “I suspect Jessica is not sure what to do. Meghan is still pretty powerful, and they have a lot of people in common. She is probably biding her time. She lost her career, but to come after Meghan could be perceived as being petty and bitter and could potentially alienate her even more.”

Finally, a rep from Mulroney’s team put all the rumors to rest, telling the Daily Mail that she would “never” discuss the Duchess of Sussex publicly and was “absolutely not” considering a book.
