The car was removed from the lake about 3:40 p.m., and identified as a 1992 Nissan Maxima. The vehicle’s license plate is connected to an ongoing Berwyn Police Department investigation into the disappearance of Hiep Luu, who was reported missing in 2003, police said.
The human remains in the vehicle have not yet been identified.
