Tom Holland offered an encouraging update on his health after suffering a concussion on the set of Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

“I’m feeling better and on the mend,” Holland, 29, assured fans via Instagram on Saturday, September 27, in a post celebrating his Brothers Trust charity event in London.

Variety reported that Holland was taking a temporary break from filming as a precaution due to an onset injury on September 19. Multiple media outlets reported that filming is due to resume on Monday, September 29, provided there are no further complications. (No other cast or crew members were injured in the incident that resulted in Holland’s concussion.)

The actor looked to be in fine form, alongside fiancée Zendaya, in video footage from a “Tom Holland Pub Night” event held on behalf of his family’s charity, The Brothers Trust, on September 21. His parents, Nikki and Dominic Holland, founded the organization in 2017 to raise money for charitable causes. (The Brothers Trust was named in honor of Tom and his three siblings: twins Sam and Harry, 26, and Paddy, 17.)

Tom Holland is addressing rumors he’s the future of the beloved James Bond franchise. “There’s speculation,” the actor, 29, admitted to Gordon Ramsay on July 31, but “we’ll keep it to a minimum for now.” “Can you imagine what’s going to happen to your life if you do?” Ramsay continued. “I mean, every young British […]

“What a night! Another huge success,” Tom wrote via Instagram. “The Brothers Trust means more to me than I could possibly say and I have to say a huge thank you to my Mum and her wonderful friends for putting on another incredible night. Raising money for fantastic causes and having fun doing it.”

Tom went on to thank his dad Dominic for “taking over after I left,” adding: “The show got considerably funnier.”

“Thank you to all our attendees and especially our winners of the sweepstakes,” he concluded. “Thanks also to everyone worldwide who contributed to our sweeps, raising much-needed funds for some tremendous charities.”

Meanwhile, Marvel Studios moved forward with other aspects of the production of Spider-Man: Brand New Day even with Holland temporarily unable to film. Deadline reported on Tuesday, September 23, that Marvin Jones III was cast as the Marvel Comics villain Tombstone, after voicing the character in the animated hit Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and its upcoming sequel Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.

Holland’s fiancée Zendaya will return for Brand New Day too as Peter Parker’s love interest Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson, while MCU mainstays Jacob Batalon and Mark Ruffalo are set to play Peter’s best friend Ned Leeds and Avengers member Bruce Banner / The Hulk, respectively.

Newcomers for Holland’s fourth solo Spider-Man movie include Jon Bernthal reprising his MCU role as Frank Castle / The Punisher from the Daredevil series on Disney+, plus Michael Mando is back as crook Mac Gargan / Scorpion following a previous showdown with the web-slinger in 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming. Stranger ThingsSadie Sink and Emmy Award-winning The Bear actress Liza Colón-Zayas have been cast in undisclosed roles.

Holland offered a first look at his new Spider-Man suit in honor of his first day of filming on Brand New Day back in August.

Karwai Tang/WireImage Tom Holland and Zendaya save their Spider-Man-Homecoming rewatches for when they’re feeling extra nostalgic. “Zendaya and I will, every now and then, watch Spider-Man: Homecoming and reminisce about being 19 and making those movies again,” Holland, 27, shared with Extra in an interview published on Monday, January 15. “I love those movies, and […]

“My fourth ever day one on Spider-Man,” he said via Instagram. “You know, it’s funny putting the suit on. It feels different this time somehow. It’s also the first time we’ve ever had fans on set for day one. So, it’s really exciting to share this with them. I’m just going to do my best. Hopefully get it right. No pressure.”
