Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has addressed the backlash following a viral video she shared on social media.
The actress, who is married to billionaire politician Ned Nwoko, clarified that there was nothing inappropriate about the clip, emphasizing that the music used was part of a popular trend.
Regina explained that her intention was simply to create content inspired by the “Mama G” style, but social media users misinterpreted her post, causing unnecessary controversy.
She noted that she now feels compelled to respond to the online reactions, stressing that she did not intend any disrespect toward her husband. Regina added that the situation is being exaggerated by those who misunderstood her video.
Speaking on the matter, she said, “You guys are making my husband think otherwise with your comments. The video is normal, it’s just the soundtrack, and everyone uses it. You people should stop coming for me.”
She further added, “Guys, I really don’t understand why I’m even enjoying reading the comments. Why are you attacking me like this? If it’s not me, you are now forcing me to explain myself because it’s beginning to reach my husband. But it’s just the soundtrack.”
Regina concluded by warning that if the negative online reactions create problems in her marriage, she would hold social media users accountable.
