Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are headed for divorce.
The celebrity couple has split up after nearly two decades of marriage, according to reports.
When did Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban get married?
Kidman, 58, and Urban, 57, started dating in 2005 after meeting at an event in Los Angeles. They wed in June 2006 in his native Australia.
In 2018, she said that Urban swept her off her feet when he showed up outside her NYC apartment with flowers at 5 a.m.
“It was pretty intense,” the Nine Perfect Strangers star told People of their romance. “I believed by that point he was the love of my life. Maybe that’s because I am deeply romantic, or I’m an actress, or I have strong faith as well, but I just believed, ‘Oh, OK, here he is.’”
Neither Kidman nor Urban has commented on the divorce reports. They’re reportedly been living apart for months, with Urban on tour and Kidman away filming the Practical Magic sequel in the U.K. An insider told People that Urban initiated the breakup.
“[Kidman] didn’t want this,” the source said. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
The insider added that the Oscar winner was leaning on her family, particularly her sister Antonia, as she dealt with the personal turmoil. “The entire Kidman family has come together to support one another,” the source said.
In June, Kidman wished her husband a happy anniversary with a sweet Instagram post. A month earlier, the pair looked very much in love as they attended the Academy of Country Music Awards together. Urban gushed about his wife when he accepted the Triple Crown Award, saying, “I love you baby girl.”

The actor and country singer have two children together. Daughter Sunday Rose was born in July 2008. A second daughter, Faith Margaret, was born in December 2010 via surrogate.
Kidman also has two children, Connor and Isabella, with ex-husband Tom Cruise. The pair were married from 1990 to 2001.
In an interview with Allure earlier this year, Kidman opened up about her relationship with her younger daughters.
“I’m very close to both my girls,” she said. “I sit on their beds and discuss the most intimate things; I get to be their guide. If they want to tell me to be quiet, they can. I’m able to apologize to them. I’m able to stand up to them. I very much like the relationship we have. It’s nice to be able to say that.”
