SAVANNAH, Ga. () — The Savannah State Lady Tigers Volleyball team is calling on its fans to “Pack the Den” on Thursday night, attempting to set a new attendance record for the program.

The Tigers will host the Allen University Yellowjackets in the Tiger Arena at 6 p.m. on Oct. 2.

Students, alumni, faculty, staff and community members are invited to attend the potential-record breaking crowd. Admission is free.

Opio Mashariki, director of athletics, said, “This is a chance for the entire community to show their pride, support our student-athletes, and help us set a record that the team will never forget. We want to hear the Tiger Arena roar!”

Free prizes and giveaways will be held throughout the game. SSU encourages fans to arrive early for chances to win the prizes.

The Tigers are currently 7-3 and are on a three-match winning streak. They sit 3-1 in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) play.

SSU travels to Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina on Tuesday for another SIAC contest.
