SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Good morning. Let’s have a fabulous Wednesday!
Happy first day of October. As both tropical systems (Imelda and Humberto) continue to pull away from the east coast, we are back to tracking sunshine today. Under a mostly sunny to partly cloudy sky, temperatures will start to warm into the mid 80s. A very seasonable day to kick off this new month.

High pressure continues to build in today through Friday. This brings in and locks in cooler and drier air. Temperatures will fall a few degrees below average. Highs will be in the upper 70s to low 80s Thursday and Friday. A crisp morning is on tap for Friday with lows falling into the upper 50s to low 60s.
A few stray showers will be possible on Friday as clouds begin to increase. A stalled front sets up to our south across central Florida with high pressure staying to our north. A trough will set up along our coast, but with high pressure and the front blocking the trough from moving, it won’t be able to move much. Isolated to scattered showers will be possible each day from Saturday through next week. Not a weekend washout but it will be a mostly cloudy one.
