Oh, man. The expressions on MSNBC (soon to be MS NOW) host Mika Brzezinski’s face were absolutely priceless as she opined on the low-rated show “Morning Joe.” Academy awards must certainly be forthcoming as she effectively displayed rage, outrage, and horror—all in one take.

But what was she reacting to? Her husband, Joe Scarborough, nuking her narrative during a live broadcast. I feel like it’s going to be a tense situation at the former Florida GOP congressman’s (now committed leftist’s) home Wednesday evening.

It all started when Mika went on one of the usual anti-GOP tirades regularly seen on MSNBC, but then, surprisingly, Joe clapped back. I frankly thought he seemed a little unhinged and bullying, but you be the judge. 

I hope he has a comfortable couch and some Bud Light hidden away:

Brzezinski was attempting to pin the government shutdown on “Republican lies” — but Joe Scarborough wasn’t having it.

Within seconds, the back-and-forth turned into a full-blown shouting match.

Joe enters the fray around 30 seconds in.

The two, usually a plastic pair who just smile at each other superciliously when making political points as if they’re far smarter than the American electorate—went at it hard:

Brzezinski: “I also just don’t understand why we’re blaming the Democrats for Republicans lying, at the highest level of office.”

“So they’re not only repeating the lies, but adding to this coarseness and there’s no consequence to it. And we’re blaming the Democrats?! We’re blaming the Democrats for this? What exactly are the Democrats supposed to do?”

Scarborough: “You keep repeating…They’re supposed to FIGHT BACK!! They’re supposed to KNOW…they’re supposed to do…”

Brzezinski shot back: “And lie as well? Like what exactly?” 

Scarborough wasn’t backing down: “NO, NO!!”

The kerfuffle might seem like an insignificant spat on a far-left cable news outlet, but it shows how deeply divided the Democrats are, and how Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and Co. have led them down a disastrous path that would seemingly offer little chance for victory. The Schumer Shutdown is widely reviled by the American public, and shutting down the government to pay for the healthcare of illegal immigrants certainly does not seem like a winning hand.

Scarborough long ago eschewed sanity to reel in fat paychecks from MSNBC, but even he realized in the moment—unlike his wife and co-host—that the constant Dem whining is leading to ruin.

They have nothing to offer, and even he couldn’t defend it.

In the meantime, however, Mika’s unbelievable performance will live on in the minds of dramatists the world over and will be studied by thespians everywhere for her masterful use of crossed arms, rolling eyes, and general look of having just smelled something horrid.
