Palmdale Street shooting on Jacksonville's Northwest side leaves man dead

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the victim, a man in his 20s, was walking down Line Street when he was approached by two suspects, and an argument ensued.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two suspects are on the loose after a man was shot during an argument on Jacksonville’s Westside Wednesday evening, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

JSO Sgt. Mitlyng said around 10 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Yulee Street and Line Street in reference to the shooting. When they arrived, Mitlyng said officers located the victim, identified as a man in his 20s, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Mityling said the man was then taken to a local hospital where he underwent surgery.

“The preliminary investigation has revealed that the victim was walking down Line Street when he was approached by two suspects,” Mitlyng told First Coast News. “An argument ensued, resulting in the victim being shot.”
