Every week, millions of Americans visit their doctor across the country, and many of us have no idea what services we’re actually paying for. The healthcare and insurance industries can be extremely difficult to understand. You pay monthly for health insurance, but also have a deductible and a co-pay every time you visit. You then receive a bill in the mail for the remaining out-of-pocket costs your insurance doesn’t cover, while also paying out of pocket for the remainder of any drugs you’re prescribed at the pharmacy. That’s a lot of money. Now, imagine your state is manipulating federal tax dollars to cover the cost of Democrat run pet projects that drive healthcare costs even higher? That’s infuriating. 

The federal government is currently in the midst of a Schumer Shutdown. The Democrat party has decided to hold the U.S. government and federal employees hostage while they push for illegal aliens to receive healthcare coverage. You read that right. Vice President Vance is not only sick of the games being played by the Democrats, but he is also exposing their hypocrisy. In a post on X, Vance highlights how blue states manipulate the tax dollars they receive to fund pet projects that drive up costs for their constituents. V.P. Vance stated:

When the government gives billions of dollars to New York for Medicaid, that frees up state money in New York that can then be spent on illegals. 

It’s like if you give a mobster $100 but he PROMISES you he won’t spend the money to buy a gun and commit a crime. Well, he takes the $100 you gave him and buys food, and then takes the money he would have spent on food and uses that money to buy the gun instead. This is what “money is fungible” means.

Vance went on to rightfully mention how these practices drive up costs for constituents.

Additionally, because medical services are limited in supply, when an illegal accesses health. care, it drives up the cost for everyone. So New Yorkers are paying a higher price for medical services, and the federal government is subsidizing those higher prices. 

Vance really hits the nail on the head here. When Democrat-run states receive funds from the federal government, in many cases, that money can be used to subsidize other costs in order for them to save state-level funding for other projects. It’s truly a vicious cycle. As the vice president mentions, money is fungible, which is how Democrats plan to cover the medical costs for those in our country illegally.

JD Vance Joins White House Press Briefing, Again Destroys Democrats’ Schumer Shutdown Lies

In a post on X, Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma reminded everyone of what Democrat politicians truly believe. They cannot run from their past. During a 2019 democratic presidential primary debate on MSNBC, Savannah Guthrie asked the entire panel if they planned for the U.S. government to cover the healthcare costs of illegal aliens. Every Democratic presidential hopeful raised their hand.

Republicans are winning on this argument. President Trump and his administration have made a living on pushing Democrats to support 80/20 issues that are unpopular with the American people. In the long run, Democrats and blue-state politicians do themselves a disservice by exposing their hidden agenda. Vice President Vance is not letting this go, and neither is the American public.
