RIDGELAND, S.C. () — Operation Patriots FOB (OPFOB) celebrated a new milestone on Saturday.
OPFOB has leased the location they have called home for the last five years. However, on Saturday, the organization celebrated the official purchase of its Lowcountry location and its fifth anniversary with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
“Five years is a huge milestone to reach, but it’s still just the beginning of what we’re going to be able to do here in the Lowcountry,” said Stephanie Brown, a co-founder of OPFOB.
OPFOB is an organization dedicated to preventing suicide among veterans and first responders, helping them heal from PTSD trauma through peer relationships and community.
“It’s because of the community that we’ve been able to grow the way that we have because of all their support,” said JR brown, co-founder of OPFOB.
