Strictly was back and bigger than ever for Week Two as the couple’s descended on the dancefloor once again.

While the celebrities didn’t face the public vote last week, this week will see the two lowest scoring pair’s fight for their survival in the dance off on Sunday night.

And the night didn’t come without its dramas after a series of trips, on and off the dancefloor, a new dark horse emerging, and Thomas Skinner’s bizarre salsa.

Meanwhile, Ross King was overcome with emotion as he shed a tear at the end of his waltz after dedicating it to his home country of Scotland.

Last minute addition to the lineup Amber Davies also returned with a sizzling Samba as she found herself at the top of the leaderboard.

The former Love Islander was celebrating her 29th birthday on Saturday night and after scoring a whopping 29 for her Samba on only week two, she now has a combined score of 56 following last week’s scores.

At the other end of the leaderboard, Ross found himself at the very bottom with 25.

However, the meaning of the dance meant more than any score after he performed a waltz to The Proclaimers ballad Sunshine On Leith.

After taking his partner Jowita to visit Scotland during training this week, the journalist was overwhelmed as he shed a tear at the end of his performance as his girlfriend watched from the audience.

Elsewhere, viewers were left reeling after Thomas Skinner’s salsa routine went viral for all the wrong reasons.

The TV personality, 34, took to the dancefloor with Amy Dowden, 35, performing to Dizzee Rascal’s hit track Bonkers as his wife Sinead proudly watched on from the audience.

However, within seconds of the performance kicking off, fans flocked to X (formerly Twitter) to blast Thomas’s dance skills, exaggerated facial expressions, and his constant tongue movements.

One unimpressed viewer fumed: ‘Watching Tom Skinner try and dance is actually making me feel sick. PUT YOUR TONGUE AWAY PLEASEEE.’.

Skinner’s wife Sinead shared a snap from the Strictly studio before the show kicked off as she turned out in support of her husband.

As he made his way up the star missed his footing as partner Dianne Buswell steadied him as she exclaimed: ‘Golly gosh. Be careful, be careful.’

After joining the competition as a bag of nerves, Vicky proudly performed a Foxtrot to fellow Geordie Sam Fender’s hit track Rein On Me.

Holding back tears, Vicky later said: ‘I am proud to come from the North East and I don’t think I have always done them proud, especially at the start of my career, so it is nice to know I have turned a corner with Strictly’.

Just below Emmerdale Lewis Cope, Shirley exclaimed: ‘I think Lewis better watch his back,’ as she implied the pair could be fierce competition.

Before her turn on the dance floor, Karen Carney revealed a childhood health condition that would likely impact her dancing abilities.

The former footballer, 38, and her professional dance partner Carlos Gu, 32, were seen rehearsing for their second live performance – a Tango set to Dua Lipa’s hit Training Season.

She then told cameras: ‘I have this thing called Scheuermann’s, I’ve had it since I was a kid.

‘It’s a curve in my spine, it’s really, really hard for me to open my back up to certain elements that I just won’t be able to do as well as I’d love to, but Carlos is really supportive, really encouraging.’

As the second week came to an end, Claudia and Tess revealed that Motsi Mabuse will have the deciding vote this week.

The twist – previously announced – will see head judge Shirley Ballas’ once sole responsibility shared amongst her counterparts for this series.
