Celebrate fall all month long in St. Pete with these spooky events

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (WFLA) — It’s finally October, which means Halloween is coming up fast. The city of St. Petersburg is diving into the spooky spirit headfirst with a lineup of fun events that are sure to thrill and haunt you. Serving up fun for the whole family, here are some fall festivities that you won’t want to miss.

Autumn Harvest

Members of the community are invited to celebrate the season with a variety of fall-themed activities. Costing just $5 per person, free for children under three, attendees can enjoy a full day of games, hayrides, crafts, food trucks, and more. Hosted by St. Pete’s Parks and Recreation Department, the Autumn Fest will take place on Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be held at the Pinellas Pioneers Settlement at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, located at 3010 31st Street S. Proceeds from the festival go to the Friends of Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, a nonprofit organization that supports the preserve’s mission and ongoing conservation efforts.

St. Petersburg Fire Rescue Block Party

Celebrating 30 years of SPFR, this free event has something for the whole family. Guests will get to enjoy fire truck tours, bounce houses, food and drinks, and receive valuable fire safety and injury prevention resources. Also, kids will be able to grab free safety gear, such as life jackets and bike helmets. The day of fun will end with an exciting live side-by-side fire demonstration. The event will take place Saturday, Oct. 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It will be held at Walter Fuller Park, located at 7891 26th Avenue N.

St. Petersburg Fire Rescue Haunted Fire House

Hosted by St. Petersburg first responders, the annual Haunted Fire House is a haunted attraction you won’t want to miss. Admission is free, though $10 fast passes will be available. It is recommended for ages 11 and up. All proceeds go toward SPFR’s Holiday Toy Drive. It will take place Saturday, Oct. 18, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and will be held at Fire Station #10, located at 2800 30th Avenue N.

Spooky Swamp Haunted Hike

Step into the shadows of Boyd Hill Nature Preserve for a Halloween adventure. This spooky hike invites you to wander trails after dark and indulge in a kid-friendly tale filled with mysterious phantoms and light-hearted scares. Hikers are encouraged to dress in their favorite costume as they combine Halloween magic and a love of nature for an enchanted evening under the stars. The Spooky Swamp Haunted Hike takes place Friday, Oct. 24, at 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., and again at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $10. You can register here.

Terror in the Trees Haunted Hike

Venture into the darkness and embark on a spine-tingling night hike geared towards adults aged 18 and up. Guests will be able to navigate eerie trails where a frightful surprise lurks behind every rustle and shadow. There will be twists, scares, and thrills, as well as all the makings for an unforgettable evening. This event takes place Saturday, Oct. 25, at 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. It will be held at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve. Tickets are $15. You can register here.

Field of Screams

Step into a world where your dreams become nightmares at TASCO’s 18th Annual Field of Screams. This year’s theme, Dreams & Nightmares, takes visitors on a journey through dreamscapes that quickly dissolve into terrifying realities. Confront your wildest dreams and your worst nightmares as you explore the depths of your imagination. This event will take place Thursday, Oct. 30, through Saturday, Nov. 1, from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. It will be held at Pinellas Pioneer Settlement at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, located at 3010 31st Street S.
