After a lifetime of compassion, sacrifice, and joy, one Arkansas woman celebrated her 100th birthday alongside her friends and family.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Over the weekend, an Arkansas woman celebrated her 100th birthday alongside her friends and family.

Born on October 3, 1925, Ms. Claudine Dulaney was able to celebrate her milestone birthday on October 4, while at The Springs of Pinnacle Mountain Health & Rehabilitation in Little Rock.

During her party, Ms. Claudine donned her most fashionable purple outfit, along with a “birthday queen” sash. Of course, the birthday queen herself also had to have a crown and sit on her throne while in the company of her guests.

She dedicated her life to being one of servitude as she spent a century answering God’s call to serve.

Ms. Claudine is the last living child of Rev. Alexander Houston Dulaney and Mrs. Louella Eckford Dulaney, who were blessed with 11 children.

Despite being small in stature, Ms. Claudine’s heart for service has always been immeasurable. She worked for many years as a nurse’s aide at Forrest Memorial Hospital in Forrest City and, briefly, in Gary, Indiana.

She later made the selfless decision to leave her career to care for her aging parents. Though that meant fewer financial resources, she gave generously of what she had, always living with gratitude and faith.

Her devotion also extended to her church and community.

She served faithfully as an usher, sang in the choir for several decades, and worked tirelessly on the kitchen committee. Ms. Claudine was also active in the Order of the Eastern Star (Freedonia Chapter #62) and the Nelson Extension Homemakers Club.

One of her greatest joys in her life was preparing for the St. Francis County Fair, where she entered her preserves, baked goods, garden produce, and crafts. She oftentimes brought home first-place ribbons.

Ms. Claudine’s century of life has stood as a shining example of compassion, sacrifice, and joy.
