Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly planning their reconciliation with the royal family in a secret plot dubbed “Project Thaw.”
The former “Suits” star has reportedly set her sights on mending ties with her estranged relatives and connecting with the “British public” by attending Paris Fashion Week, as noted by Daily Mail editor Richard Eden.
“Meghan’s French sojourn was part of the ‘Establishment plot,’” the journalist wrote in an article published Thursday.
Eden remarked, “What could be more effective than showcasing photos of her warmly embraced by the European fashion elite, including a friendly encounter with Vogue’s leading figure, Dame Anna Wintour?”
This effort, dubbed ‘Project Thaw,’ aims to ease tensions, following the apparent success of Prince Harry’s recent trip to the UK. During that visit, he engaged in charitable activities and importantly, had a tea meeting at Clarence House with King Charles after a 19-month separation.
Eden explained that Harry, 41, then traveled from the UK to Kyiv, Ukraine, where he was aboard the same train as Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, who reportedly admires the Duke of Sussex and “want[s] him to play a bigger part in public life.”
While abroad, Harry also told the Gaurdian that he hopes to bring Markle, 44, along with their children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, back to Britain after their security privileges were revoked earlier this year.
“This week has definitely brought that closer,” Harry told the outlet at the time.
Eden alleged that the A-list couple’s next step in the plan is to make a united visit to the UK.
An insider told the outlet that Markle would visit Britain before the end of the year and quipped she would be “bearing humble pie.”
Reps for the actress and Harry weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
Meghan and Harry have been estranged from the royal family since stepping down from their royal duties in 2020, and speaking out against them in a 2021 bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey.
Harry also made damaging claims about Charles and his brother, Prince William, in his 2023 memoir “Spare.”
Earlier this year, the duke expressed his desire to reconcile with his family, but admitted “some members” would “never forgive” him “for a lot of things.”
The family’s estrangement took another nasty turn in May when Harry and Markle lost access to their police protection when visiting the UK.
After the decision was made, Harry told BBC News that he missed home but couldn’t “see a world in which [he] would be bringing [his] wife and children back to the UK” without the protection.
