Joy Behar questioned actress Rose Byrne on The View about her frequent work collaborations with her husband, actor Bobby Cannavale, pointing out the numerous “explicit scenes” present in his film work.

Behar brought up Byrne’s “fabulous” husband while discussing her new dramatic feature, If I Had Legs I Would Kick You.

Behar mentioned that Byrne and Cannavale recently worked together on her Apple TV+ series Platonic, where he had a “not safe for daytime cameo” that couldn’t be shown on the program. “You two often work together. I’ve heard he had a not safe for daytime cameo in Platonic,” Behar remarked.

“It was quite raunchy, yes,” Byrne chimed in with a laugh.

“I won’t spoil what happens, but it was very X-rated,” Behar continued. “So, what’s your take on him doing explicit scenes, and what is it about working together that you both enjoy? Most couples couldn’t handle that.”

Byrne ultimately praised Cannavale, saying she was previously “hesitant” to work with a partner.

“I know everybody’s different. It’s such a personal choice and it was something I was always like hesitant to [do],” she said. “It has just been so fun.”

“He’s my great creative sounding board, always. We’ve done plays together, we’ve done little TV jobs. It’s always fun,” she continued.

Byrne and Cannavale have been married since 2012. The pair share two children.

“You don’t get sick of each other?” Behar pressed.

Byrne maintained that work was “almost more fun” with her husband.

“You’re just back to the two of you, so you get a bit of time,” she said. “He’s such a great actor. I have such respect for his work.”
