HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. () — Professional and amateur cooks will face off Saturday on Hilton Head Island to see who can cook the best pot of chili, all while raising money for charity.

The annual Hilton Head Island Kiwanis Chili Cook Off will kick off at noon, running until 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11. 2025 marks the event’s 40th year in the Lowcountry.

Jeep Island is a meet and greet featuring Jeeps from around the East Coast. A donated Jeep will also be raffled off.

Through the cook off, the Kiwanis Grill Team will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs. There will also be a kid’s zone.

Entry tickets are $10 and can be bought online or at the gate, but for the chili tasting, you will need to purchase and additional chili tasting punch card for $10. Each punch card is good for 10 tastings.

“This fundraiser benefits local youth causes and programs,” an organizer said. “The needs of our local kids are increasing, and we need your help to improve their lives – one kid at a time.”

The event will be at Lowcountry Celebration Park on 94 Pope Ave.

Organizers also said that cash will not be accepted at the Chili Cook Off, only credit cards or Apple Pay.
