A combination of astronomical king tides and a local nor’easter brought widespread coastal flooding. First Coast News viewers shared images of its impacts.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — From Oct. 9-11, a combination of astronomical king tides and a local nor’easter brought coastal flooding to the First Coast from southeast Georgia to Flagler Beach. On average, most areas ran 1-3 feet above normal, but a few spots like the Matanzas Inlet had gauge readings over 4 feet above normal high ground at high tide.

First Coast News Weather Watchers shared the conditions in their neighborhood showing where flooding was and how it impacted their community.

One of areas that seen the most flooding was in St. Augustine.

Further north in Jacksonville, tidal flooding was seen around downtown in low lying areas as well as closer to the coast in Jacksonville Beach, like image below sent in showing locations just west of the Dunes pooling up water at high tide.

Beyond that in Nassau County at Fernandina Beach, several roads were closed as flood waters creeped into the coastal town.
