JustinTrudeau and Katy Perry have been dating for the last four months.

After they were photographed kissing on a yacht, a source told the Sun that the former political figure and Perry had been secretly dating since the beginning of the summer.

“They haven’t been able to spend a lot of time together as she’s on tour, but they’re constantly in contact — always FaceTiming and messaging each other,” the insider noted, referencing Perry’s “Lifetimes” Tour, which kicks off again Monday for its European leg.

As to how their unlikely pairing came to be, the source added that the former Prime Minister of Canada is “a bit of a geek and can’t believe someone as famous and glamorous as Katy is interested in him.”

Meanwhile, Perry is “flattered such a respected politician wants to date her.”

The “Dark Horse” singer, 40, and Trudeau, 53, first sparked romance rumors in July when they were spotted going out for a walk around Mount Royal Park in Montreal before grabbing a bite to eat at Le Violon.

At the time, a source told the US Sun that “Justin has been single for a while and has enjoyed getting to know her.” Justin separated from his wife, Sophie Trudeau, in 2023.

“He likes her personality, and they are two people who really enjoy chatting about different topics, and they click very well so far, as they are going to see each other again very soon.”

The insider further added, “He is feeling that talking to her and getting to know her is very refreshing, like a breath of fresh air in his life. He was happy to connect with her so well, and that she appreciates him being a normal, respectful person who was very understanding of her recent separation from Orlando Bloom.

“He isn’t the kind of guy that would rush things, and she seems to enjoy that a lot. It’s a gentlemanly way to behave.”

A second source, who also worked closely with Justin, claimed the pair had been waiting to meet up “for a while” and that Perry agreed “very quickly.”

“He feels like a young adult again, he is very excited about the process so far, and he really enjoys [getting] to know her and to talk about many, many topics with her,” the second insider explained.

“Justin isn’t a guy who is easy to ‘catch’ and he has been having a lot of women trying to date him since he separated from his wife.”

Shortly after, the two continued to fuel the rumors when Justin and his 16-year-old daughter, Ella-Grace, were spotted attending Perry’s sold-out “Lifetimes” tour at Montreal’s Bell Centre.

After a source told People that “they are interested in each other” and “have a lot in common,” another report said that the two had “cooled off’ due to their busy schedules.

Those rumors were shut down this weekend after photos of the “E.T.” singer making out with Trudeau on her yacht off the coast of Santa Barbara, Calif. surfaced.

The snaps were reportedly taken in late September by a tourist who “didn’t realize who she was with until [she] saw the tattoo on the guy’s arm and … immediately realized it was Justin Trudeau.”

Perry’s romance with Trudeau comes on the heels of her split from Orlando Bloom after nearly a decade together. They share daughter Daisy Dove, 5.

Before Bloom, she was briefly married to controversial comedian Russell Brand.

Trudeau, for his part, separated from his wife of 18 years, Sophie Grégoire, in 2023. Aside from Ella-Grace, the former couple also shares sons Xavier, 17, and Hadrien, 11.
