Exclusive footage, surprise guests, and major updates from “Wonder Man,” “Daredevil: Born Again” and more.

LOS ANGELES — Marvel Television and Marvel Animation gave fans plenty to cheer about during their showcase panel at New York Comic Con. Hosted by Phase Hero’s Brandon Davis and Marvel executive Brad Winderbaum, the presentation featured special guests, exclusive footage and a few major surprises from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Sir Ben Kingsley surprised the audience with the first trailer for “Wonder Man,” directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. The eight-episode series follows Simon Williams, a superhero-actor navigating the chaos of a Hollywood movie remake. “Wonder Man” premieres January 27, 2026 on Disney+.

Marvel’s showcase at the convention was a masterclass in building anticipation, blending nostalgia with fresh content to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. As the panel concluded, the energy in the room was palpable, with everyone eager for the adventures that lie ahead in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The event began with an update on Season 2 of “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man,” coming to Disney+ in Fall 2026. Winderbaum teased more deep cuts from Spider-Man lore, including a mysterious black goo that drew immediate recognition from fans.

Next, Winderbaum was joined by Eric and Julia Lewald, the writers behind the original “X-Men: The Animated Series.” The Lewalds, along with director Larry Houston, are returning as executive producers for Season 2 of “X-Men ’97,” set to premiere Summer 2026. Fans were treated to an early look at new footage from the animated hit.

The crowd erupted when “Daredevil: Born Again” star Charlie Cox took the stage to talk about Matt Murdock’s next chapter. He was soon joined by Krysten Ritter, confirming her long-awaited return as Jessica Jones. The pair previewed scenes from Season 2, debuting on Disney+ in March 2026, and Winderbaum revealed that a third season is already in development.

To close the presentation, Winderbaum revealed new details about “VisionQuest,” the conclusion to the trilogy that began with “WandaVision” and continued with “Agatha All Along.” Paul Bettany appeared to discuss reuniting with James Spader’s Ultron before sharing an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming series, set for release in 2026.

The Walt Disney Company is the parent company of Marvel, Disney+ and this ABC station.
