Justin Baldoni’s ex-agent compares Blake Lively’s ‘It Ends With Us’ behavior to ‘extortion’: court docs

In a recent court revelation, Danny Greenberg, who once managed Justin Baldoni, has drawn attention to Blake Lively’s purported conduct during the filming of “It Ends With Us,” set to release in 2024. Greenberg, who was affiliated with WME, expressed in court documents that Lively’s actions felt akin to “extortion” while Baldoni was working on the project.

The documents, which Page Six accessed, detail that Greenberg allegedly advised Baldoni on how to communicate with Sony regarding Lively’s supposed attempts to take over the film. This communication took place in July 2024, illustrating the tensions behind the scenes.

In a deposition, Greenberg clarified his use of the term “extortion,” explaining it was a reaction to Lively’s cumulative actions that Baldoni and his team at Wayfarer Studios found challenging to handle. The situation escalated to the point where Greenberg had frequent interactions with Ange Giannetti, a production executive at Sony, concerning Lively’s behavior on set.

One significant point of contention was the film’s New York City premiere in August 2024. Greenberg recounted that Baldoni was allegedly directed to a windowless basement to prevent any encounters with Lively, then aged 38, on the red carpet, highlighting the strained relations between the two stars during this period.

“And at this point in time, what was on the table was the premiere issue,” he said, referencing the August 2024 New York City premiere of the film, where Baldoni was allegedly ushered into a windowless basement to avoid running into Lively, 38, on the red carpet.

Lively’s spokesperson told Page Six Monday, “The court already dismissed their so-called ‘taking over a movie’ claim, and this cherry-picked deposition quote from Baldoni’s prior agent before he was dropped from WME adds nothing new. In fact, the court’s dismissal even assumed their allegations were true for the sake of argument — and still held that they don’t amount to a valid claim under the law.”

The rep added, “This is just a recycled distraction that has nothing to do with the actual sexual harassment and retaliation lawsuit Baldoni and the Wayfare [sic] defendants are facing.”

Reps for Baldoni, 41, weren’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.

The co-stars first sparked feud rumors when they notably opted out of jointly promoting the Colleen Hoover film adaptation and posing together at the Big Apple premiere.

Lively confirmed the chatter in December 2024 when she filed a sexual harassment complaint against the “Jane the Virgin” alum.

She accused Baldoni in the complaint of showing her “nude videos or images of women,” talking about his past porn addiction, inquiring about her weight and coordinating a smear campaign to ruin her career.

Lively echoed these allegations in a formal lawsuit filed later that month.

At the time, Baldoni’s legal team denied the allegations, telling Page Six that it was “shameful that Ms. Lively and her representatives would make such serious and categorically false accusations.”

“These claims are completely false, outrageous and intentionally salacious with an intent to publicly hurt and rehash a narrative in the media,” they said, stating that the director hired a crisis manager to allegedly manage Lively’s “multiple demands and threats.”

Baldoni responded to the lawsuit with his own $400 million lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, in which he accused the actress of using Reynolds and her pal Taylor Swift’s influence to get her way.

The “Five Feet Apart” producer also accused the “Deadpool” actor of behaving aggressively toward him, demanding that he apologize to “Lively for actions that had either never happened or had been grossly mischaracterized.”

The bombshell lawsuit, however, was dismissed in June.

Baldoni and the “Age of Adaline” star will hash out their dispute in court in March 2026.
