A teenager has spoken out just days after he was allegedly carjacked at knifepoint in Sydney’s inner west.

A 19-year-old named Jonas recounted a terrifying incident where he was allegedly attacked outside his Enmore residence following a night out at a party.

In an interview with Today, Jonas shared, “Out of nowhere, four masked individuals approached my car.”

Initially, Jonas didn’t think much of it. “It’s a busy street,” he explained. “But then, I noticed them pounding on my window.”

According to Jonas, the group demanded, yelling at him to exit his vehicle.

He said the group “screamed” at him to get out of the car.

“I opened the door for them and they pulled me out and I see a knife in my face,” he said.

“And I’m just quite literally, like, petrified to do anything about it. And I just watched them as they drive off.”

Though too “petrified” to react, Jonas noted with some amusement that the alleged attackers drove away with the handbrake still on.

“Honestly, they just seemed like they needed the car more than anything else,” he said.

Jonas said he was “lucky” to escape without injury, but that he was still living with the aftermath, especially in his home, given the alleged carjacking happened outside his window.

“Every single step, I can hear every single person who walks by,” he said.

“I think every single one of those people could be another person (who could) bash down my door, you know, attack me or attack my family.

“I feel unsafe in my own home.”

Police on Monday said they had charged three teenage boys over an alleged carjacking and pursuit in Sydney.

They allege the trio, consisting of two boys aged 16 and one aged 15, stole the car while it was stopped on the Enmore street, after threatening the 19-year-old driver with a knife, at about 2am that day.

Police spotted the allegedly stolen car at about 1.15pm in Macquarie Fields.

After a pursuit, the car stopped on Aero Road, Ingleburn.

The three teens were arrested and charged.
