Donald Trump has voiced his displeasure with Time magazine, asserting that it “deserves to be called out” for publishing what he considers an unfavorable photograph of himself. Describing the image as “super bad,” Trump did not hold back in his criticism.
The controversy arose after Time unveiled the cover for its upcoming November 10 issue. The cover features an image of the former President captured from a low angle, under the bold headline “His Triumph.”
The accompanying story delves into the recent ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, suggesting that this diplomatic achievement could stand as one of Trump’s most significant accomplishments should he secure a second term in office.
Upon returning to the United States from a summit in Egypt focused on the Gaza conflict, Trump expressed his discontent with the cover on his platform, Truth Social. He labeled the image as “the Worst of All Time,” lamenting the portrayal.
“They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then placed something on top of my head that resembled a floating crown, albeit a strangely small one. Really weird!” Trump remarked, clearly dissatisfied with the artistic choices made for the cover.
“I never liked taking pictures from underneath angles, but this is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out.
“What are they doing, and why?”
However, Trump conceded the magazine wrote a “relatively good” story about him.
Time magazine has not responded to the US President’s comments.
