He claims to have seen “Theresa [sic] was sitting on the edge of the bed. Britney stood between her legs, hands on her face and they were f–king going at it. Full-on making out.” Federline states that the two women saw him looking in before he retreated to his own room.
The Connection That Brought Britney and Kevin Together
Interestingly, Teresa Espinosa is credited with playing a pivotal role in the origin story of Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s relationship. According to Federline’s account, Espinosa first introduced him to the “Toxic” singer at a Hollywood club called Joseph’s just one month before the alleged Amsterdam incident.
This introduction set the stage for one of the most talked-about relationships in pop culture, which moved quickly from dating to a marriage that lasted from 2004 to 2007. The couple shares two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
Response to the Memoir Claims
In the wake of the memoir excerpts becoming public, a representative for Britney Spears issued a statement addressing the timing of the book’s release. The representative noted that the claims emerge “after child support has ended with Kevin” and suggested that “once again he and others are profiting off her.”
The statement emphasized that Spears’ primary concern is the well-being of their children amid the current “sensationalism.” As of the latest reports, there has been no public comment from Teresa Espinosa regarding the allegations.
Kevin Federline’s Defense of His Memoir
Kevin Federline has publicly addressed the speculation that his memoir was motivated by the end of child support payments from Spears. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, he acknowledged his desire for the book to be successful but asserted that “money is not at the root of this story, [and] it never has been.”
He explained that his motivation was to tell his side of the story after years of silence, and that he waited until his children with Spears were old enough to understand the content. He expressed that every step he has taken has been for the benefit of his family.
