In a significant development on Wednesday, Pennsylvania authorities uncovered a vehicle linked to a missing woman whose disappearance earlier this month raised serious concerns.

According to WPVI, Philadelphia police sealed off a parking area where the sedan was located. This discovery occurred in the city’s East Falls neighborhood, following a search of an abandoned elementary school near the Awbury Arboretum. Earlier searches of the 55-acre Awbury Arboretum for the missing woman, Kada Scott, had yielded no results.

The latest breakthrough came after police received a tip related to Keon King’s recent arrest on charges of abduction. King, aged 21, is believed to have been the last person seen with 23-year-old Scott before her disappearance on October 4. Reports suggest that cellphone data placed King with Scott’s phone on the night she went missing, until the device was either switched off or disabled.

Philadelphia police Sergeant Eric Gripp conveyed the importance of this discovery to WPVI, stating, “Shortly after arriving here, we were able to locate some physical evidence, which ties Miss Scott to this scene, and obviously this is very substantial.”

“Shortly after arriving here, we were able to locate some physical evidence, which ties Miss Scott to this scene, and obviously this is very substantial,” Philadelphia police Sergeant Eric Gripp told WPVI.

Meanwhile, a source told the news outlet that a card and a phone case — possibly linked to Scott  — were discovered during Wednesday’s search at the school.

On October 4, Scott left early from her overnight shift at a nursing home. Her car was later found in the nursing home’s parking lot.

Philadelphia Police Captain John Craig said Scott does not have a history of disappearing, and her co-workers did not notice anything out of the ordinary before she went missing. However, Craig also claimed that Scott told her family about someone harassing her over the phone shortly before she vanished.

It is unclear whether police believe King was the person who harassed Scott on the phone.

Officials said King is also connected to a kidnapping and strangulation case that occurred earlier this year. However, the case was dropped because the victim did not appear in court.

Scott remains unaccounted for.

This story is developing.
