A range of Nissan cars have been recalled over fears they could result in a ‘loss of motive power’ and potentially even start a vehicle fire.

A recent announcement from Vehicle Recalls has highlighted a manufacturing flaw in certain vehicles that could lead to significant safety concerns. The issue involves the fuel pipe, which may rub against the support bracket, potentially causing damage.

The notice warns, “Should this occur, it may result in fuel leakage, which could lead to a loss of power while driving. In the presence of an external ignition source, this could also spark a vehicle fire.”

Such a defect poses a heightened risk of injury or even death to both passengers and pedestrians.

The statement further informs that “Owners of the affected vehicles will be notified in writing and advised to contact an authorized Nissan dealer for a complimentary repair.”

This recall specifically pertains to the internal combustion engine variants of the J12 Qashqai model, manufactured between 2022 and 2024.
