A dispute over a checkout line at a Marshalls store in Kearny, New Jersey, escalated into violence on Saturday, resulting in a stabbing, according to local authorities.
Responding officers discovered a woman with minor injuries in the parking lot of the store. The victim, who had been stabbed, was treated for non-life-threatening wounds. According to reports from The Observer, Amber Thompson, 25, was found by police hiding in the store’s bathroom, where a kitchen knife was recovered from a baby changing station.
