  • Yung Miami, an American rapper, has accused South African singer Tyla of song plagiarism.
  • The accusation surfaced after Tyla previewed her new single, “Chanel,” on social media.
  • Yung Miami claims she had previously shared her unreleased track, also titled “Chanel,” with Tyla.

Yung Miami, the American rapper, has taken to social media to accuse South African singer Tyla of song imitation.

The controversy began when Tyla shared a sneak peek of her forthcoming single, “Chanel,” on social media this past Thursday. Yung Miami claims that Tyla’s new track bears a resemblance to her own unreleased song, also titled “Chanel,” which she asserts was previously shared with Tyla.

The rapper did not hold back her disappointment, expressing that witnessing Tyla’s teaser left her feeling betrayed. “This girl really ran off with my song, and I don’t know how to feel about it. Mind you, I played this song for this girl,” she stated, clearly frustrated by the situation.

When a fan questioned her remarks, Yung Miami confirmed that her accusations were indeed aimed at Tyla.

This incident has sparked a broader conversation about intellectual property rights, particularly focusing on the cultural exchanges and interactions between Afro-American and African artists within the music industry.

As of now, Tyla has not commented on the situation.
