The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show has long been a dazzling spectacle in the fashion world since its debut in 1995. Each year, it captivates audiences with an array of angel-winged models showcasing stunning lingerie designs. As the show makes its comeback on October 15, let’s revisit some of the most memorable looks that have graced the runway over the years.
Angelika Kallo
At the very first Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, model Angelika Kallo made waves with a minimalist yet sporty ensemble. She donned gray undergarments paired with bold black leather boots, riding gloves, and oversized sunglasses, setting the tone for the brand’s iconic fashion statements.
Stephanie Seymour
The following year, in 1996, Stephanie Seymour turned heads with a bridal-inspired ensemble. Her outfit featured a floor-length tulle dress that opened at the front to reveal elegant white lingerie, completed with a voluminous tulle veil, embodying a perfect blend of romance and allure.
In 1997, Naomi Campbell brought a touch of vampy drama to the catwalk. Her sheer black outfit, highlighted by voluminous sleeves and a high gothic collar, was paired with sheer black stockings and striking silver jewelry, creating an unforgettable gothic look.
Naomi Campbell
Tyra Banks made a historic mark on the Victoria’s Secret runway in 1998 when she became the first model to wear the iconic angel wings. Her appearance in a simple yet striking all-white outfit accentuated the wings, solidifying her place in fashion history and setting a precedent for future shows.

Tyra Banks
Supermodel Tyra Banks made history in 1998 when she walked down the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show wearing a pair of white angel wings. This marked the first time a model wore angel wings during the show. Banks wore a simple, all-white look to complement the wings.
Carmen Kass
In 1999, Carmen Kass wore a detailed white lingerie set complete with a lacy garter belt. The look reached the next level with the inclusion of a large tiara and shimmering gauzy wings.
Adriana Lima
The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show left New York in 2000, instead taking place in Cannes. Longtime Angel Adrianna Lima captured the spirit of the glamorous and expensive city with a sparkling gold set. She also donned a golden body chain that covered her from shoulder to hip.
Gisele Bündchen
Gisele Bündchen opened the show in 2005 with a Santa-inspired lingerie set. It had 2,900 diamonds, 22 rubies, and one 101-carat diamond. It was designed by Mouawad and cost $12.5 million. She paired it with red wings.
Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosia
In 2014, iconic Angels Adriana Lima and Alessandra Ambrosia walked the runway as a duo, marking the first time two models walked together in the show’s history. They wore coordinating Fantasy Bras, with Lima sporting a blue ensemble and Ambrosia wearing red. Both models sparkled with jewel-encrusted body chains.
Bella Hadid
Bella Hadid walked in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show for the first time in 2016. Though she has been in the show multiple times since then, this moment goes down in history because of the person with whom she shared the stage. Hadid wore a lacy gray lingerie set while she strode past her ex, The Weeknd, who was the musical guest.
Elsa Hosk
Elsa Hosk wore the Fantasy Bra at the 2018 show. The dazzling set was designed by Atelier Swarovski and was adorned with over 2,100 diamonds. Her abstract, feathered wings surrounded her in a halo.
Jasmine Tookes
At the most recent show, pregnant model Jasmine Tookes opened the show in a gold, latticed dress with gems hanging from the intersections. In lieu of wings, she wore a golden, clamshell structure decorated with pearls.
