Carville says trans sports policy supporters are catering to 'left-wing zombies'

Seasoned Democratic strategist James Carville has once again voiced his discontent with certain progressive stances, which he believes have historically undermined the party’s success. Carville, known for his sharp critiques, is frustrated with the continued adherence to far-left policies.

During Thursday’s episode of the “Politics War Room” podcast, Carville criticized left-wing advocates who push for transgender inclusion in women’s sports. He argued that such efforts are merely attempts to gain favor with what he describes as “left-wing zombies” and that they ultimately harm dedicated female athletes.

Meanwhile, Betty Yee, a former state controller and current Democratic contender for California’s gubernatorial race, expressed a differing view on “Piers Morgan Uncensored.” She suggested that the upcoming 2028 LA Olympics should consider introducing gender-neutral categories, asserting that transgender athletes should have the opportunity to compete as women.

Carville dismissed Yee’s proposal with a blunt retort, showing no support for the idea.

Reflecting on his perspective as a father, Carville explained his stance on the podcast. He empathized with parents of daughters who are active in sports like soccer, volleyball, track, and softball. He emphasized that these parents, for understandable reasons, do not wish their daughters to compete against male athletes.

He then proposed Yee should take note of the last Olympics’ winning female score in any particular event and compare it to what it would have been if it were against men in the same sport and note the disparity between the two.

“Because, what you’re doing, you understand what you’re doing, to try to some kind of cheap political point with a bunch of left-wing zombies is you’re ruining the women that work their a–es off, that compete, and by the way there’s been an explosion in interest in women’s sports,” Carville said. “The last thing they need to do is be competing against the Duke men’s basketball team.”

Carville declared, “This is asinine, asinine, asinine,”

Co-host Al Hunt replied, “It’s actually an insult to Title IX, which you have to give Richard Nixon credit for.”

“It’s just like ‘Why?’ Where are these people coming from? What rock did they crawl from under?” Carville asked rhetorically.

Fox News Digital reached out to Yee and did not receive immediate reply.
