Dante Moore delivered an impressive performance with 290 passing yards and four touchdowns, leading No. 8 Oregon to a commanding 56-10 victory over Rutgers on Saturday night. This marked the first-ever matchup between these two schools.

After suffering a 30-20 defeat to Indiana at home the previous week, Oregon (6-1, 3-1 Big Ten) bounced back by extending its impressive road winning streak to 10 games, the longest in the nation.

Noah Whittington was a standout on the ground, rushing for 125 yards and scoring two touchdowns. The Ducks amassed a staggering 750 total yards, with 415 rushing and 335 passing, setting a record for the most yards against a Power 4 opponent this season.

Meanwhile, the Scarlet Knights (3-4, 0-4) continued their struggle to defeat ranked teams, a feat they haven’t achieved in 16 years — the longest such drought in college football.

Rutgers managed only 202 total yards, with their quarterback, Athan Kaliakmanis, facing relentless pressure throughout the game.

He was 8 of 25 for 79 yards, threw two interceptions and was sacked three times.

Oregon had eight plays of 30 yards or longer.

The takeaways

Oregon: After a sub-par performance against Indiana, Moore made it look easy against the overmatched Scarlet Knights.

Rutgers: After two consecutive bowl bids, the Scarlet Knights are in jeopardy of missing the postseason.

Up next

Oregon: Hosts Wisconsin on Oct. 25.

Rutgers: At Purdue on Oct. 25.
