CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An inspiring blend of creativity and international influence is set to enliven Charlotte with the upcoming Inclusion Fest. This event promises a unique fusion of fashion and cultural diversity.

At the helm of this vibrant festival is producer Kelly Melerine, who is orchestrating the event’s myriad activities. Local designer Melanie Caballero, playing a pivotal role, has engaged with organizers from Ukraine to select winning sketches, which she then transformed into stunning runway pieces. Joining her are local design talents Larissa and Felicia Melville, who will also present their creations during the show.

The initiative traces its roots back to 2020 when Ukrainian organizers launched a children’s sketch competition. In 2022, amidst the challenges of war, this competition expanded, drawing Melanie Caballero into a more active role in the project.

The fashion pieces showcased in the event are inspired by the imaginative sketches of Ukrainian children. Some designs will highlight the Melvilles’ “Unstoppable” line, crafted to empower children by fostering a sense of visibility and confidence.

Inclusion Fest is more than just a fashion show; it is a celebration of diversity and inclusivity. The runway will feature both professional models and children with disabilities, offering an inspiring display of empowerment. Attendees will be treated to an uplifting experience filled with fashion, cuisine, and an exclusive glimpse into the creative journey from sketch to final garment.

The event is November 15th at Discover Play Science in Uptown Charlotte. Tickets and information are available online at impossibleinc.org.
