Joe Flacco has always found unwavering support in his wife and longtime partner, Dana Flacco.
The couple’s journey began when they were high school students in their shared hometown of Audubon, New Jersey. Joe’s selection by the Baltimore Ravens as the 18th overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft marked a new chapter, prompting a move from New Jersey to Baltimore to launch his professional football career. Throughout his career, Joe has showcased his skills with the Baltimore Ravens, Denver Broncos, and New York Jets, leading his family through relocations from Baltimore to Denver and then to New York.
In October 2025, Joe made headlines with a trade to the Cincinnati Bengals, stepping into the role of starting quarterback following an unfortunate Grade 3 turf toe injury to the team’s star, Joe Burrow. According to the Cleveland Clinic, a Grade 3 turf toe injury involves a complete tear of the soft tissue in the toe, a common ailment among football players.
As he navigated the challenges of adjusting to a new team’s playbook, Joe remained supported by his steadfast partner, Dana.
In fact, while speaking to reporters October 10, Joe revealed that Dana even helped him run plays. As he put it, “She didn’t do bad!”

The pair’s love story dates all the way back to when they met as high school students in New Jersey. They continued to date throughout college.
They Got Married in June 2011
The Flaccos tied the knot on June 25, 2011, and even took some of their wedding photos in the same high school they attended together as teens. Photos published by the New York Post show the then Ravens quarterback and his groomsmen pretending to run a play while Dana poses in the middle.
The pair also took photos at a movie theater that was important to the couple, and even stopped traffic to get a few pictures in front of City Hall.
They Have 5 Children Together

In addition to Joe’s NFL career, the duo also share five children: sons Stephen, Daniel, Francis and Thomas, as well as daughter Evelyn.
In December 2023, Joe opened up about what it’s meant to be able to include his entire family in his football career. (At the time, Joe had led the Cleveland Browns to the Wildcard round of the NFL playoffs.)
“I can’t say it enough, to have children that are of the age where they understand what’s going on means I’m going to remember these things forever,” he said.
Dana Helps Joe Learn Plays
During a press conference on October 10, 2025, Joe revealed that Dana helped him learn the Bengals’ playbook, adding yet another new dynamic in their relationship.
“I’ve never had my wife read stuff out to me, but the other night, sitting in the hotel, I did have her read some of the base game plan to me, and have me repeat it back to her,” he explained at the time. “She didn’t do bad!”
