Rachael Finch has achieved a significant milestone in real estate by selling her opulent Sydney penthouse for over $3 million.

The 36-year-old wellness guru, alongside her husband Michael Miziner, originally purchased the three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment off-plan for $1.64 million back in 2014.

Situated on two floors of the prestigious Divercity complex in Waterloo, just 4km from Sydney’s CBD, the expansive apartment offers breathtaking views of the city skyline.

Initially listed at $3.2 million, the couple decided to adjust the price guide prior to a planned auction last weekend.

Agents involved in the transaction revealed to The Daily Telegraph that the chic property was successfully sold on Friday for a figure exceeding $3 million.

According to the report, the couple parted with the chic pad so they could upsize to accommodate their growing family.

Designed to make the most of the high-rise setting, the apartment features floor-to-ceiling windows and an impressive enclosed wraparound terrace.

Boasting 250 square metres of floor space, the main bedroom occupies an entire corner of the upper floor and boasts an extravagant ensuite and a private balcony.

The lower floor hosts the kitchen and dining space within an expansive open-plan design that opens out to a beautiful undercover entertainment area.

It comes after Rachael copped backlash from her followers after she revealed the reason she won’t put her kids in any team sports.

The Miss Universe runner-up sparked controversy with an Instagram clip in May over the issue.

In the video, her husband and eldest child could be seen training at the tennis courts – with Rachael adding a caption which raised eyebrows.

‘People ask, “Why don’t your kids play team sports?”‘ the mother-of-two wrote over the video.

‘We are their team,’ she added.

Rachael went on to explain the controversial statement, saying she always wanted to be on her family’s team no matter what.

‘I’ll carry the water bottles. I’ll chop up the oranges. I don’t care what I do – just so long as I get to be on this team,’ she wrote.

Rachael said she hopes her children learn lessons in ‘resilience, accountability, confidence, winning and losing with grace, emotional balance, and that what you put in is what you get out’.

However, even if they didn’t, the proud mum said ‘being there every single time they turn their head to the sideline’ was a dream for both her and her husband.

‘The fact they’re out learning more about themselves in a challenging yet supportive environment while enjoying themselves is what counts,’ she said. 

Rachael and Michael, met on Dancing With The Stars in 2010, after first rising to fame a year earlier when she placed third runner-up in the Miss Universe beauty pageant.

The Queensland-born model married Michael in 2013.

In September 2014, they welcomed their first child, daughter Violet, and in March 2017, Rachael gave birth to their second child, son Dominic.
