Andy Cohen has broken his silence regarding Wendy Osefo’s recent legal troubles during an episode of Watch What Happens Live.

The Real Housewives of Potomac star, along with her husband Eddie Osefo, faced arrest on October 9th, accused of fraud. According to TMZ, the couple allegedly orchestrated a fake burglary last April, claiming the theft of numerous luxury items, including designer handbags and jewelry. Suspicion arose when Wendy was allegedly seen wearing one of the supposedly “stolen” diamond rings. Further investigations indicated that many of the items reported stolen had been returned for full refunds prior to the burglary claim.

Although Cohen did not bring up Wendy’s legal issues during an episode featuring her co-star Ashley Darby—likely due to its pre-arrest recording—he addressed the situation head-on with Keiarna Stewart, who visited the Bravo Clubhouse for the October 19th episode.

“I was shocked and, to be honest, a little bit disappointed,” Stewart expressed. “I didn’t expect that. It was just shocking. All I have to say is thoughts and prayers for Wendy at this time because it’s sad.”

Previously, Cohen shared his thoughts on the matter during the October 13 episode of his Radio Andy show, Andy Cohen Live. “I’m really sad about this. I’m a Wendy fan, and she has been a great Housewife and a great role model,” Cohen remarked, according to E! News. He commended Wendy for her advocacy of education and strong family values, adding, “I’m really thinking about her and her family.”

Wendy spoke out for the first time Sunday night with a message for her supporters.

“And through it all, GOD remains faithful,” she captioned her latest Instagram post. “Thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself and most importantly my family during this time. We are forever grateful.”

Following news of their arrest, Wendy and Eddie’s team released a statement to Decider, saying, “Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits. They are grateful for the outpouring of concern and support from friends, fans, and colleagues. The Osefos, alongside their legal team, look forward to their day in court. At this time, they respectfully ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead.”

Watch What Happens Live airs Sunday through Thursday at 10 p.m. ET on Bravo. New episodes are available to stream the next day on Peacock.
